Ok, so here is a little background for people (like me) who need some context for decision making purposes. This accent wall used to be Benjamin Moore Silver Fox, which I love in everyone's house except mine. For some reason it appeared purple and I don't want purple walls. I thought about carrying the main wall color, Edgecomb Grey, throughout the entire room and giving up on the accent color. Then I saw the paint color Kendall Charcoal in some design mags/blogs and loved how sleek and sophisticated it was. I picked up a tester can and gave it a shot.
Right off the bat, I loved it! The drama, the contrast, the character! Then as I lived with it a little more, I feared it made the room seem smaller. On the other hand, once we mount the TV again, the dark color will likely hide it which makes me happy. Then Jay, who loves the paint color, thought it was "navy," then my dad called it "brown." Now, I am very perplexed whether I like it or not.
